Subject: Family Picture....................Dwight Helle
Through the magic of a timer and a tripod we have a nice family picture
that includes Nicole (Nikki) Glazik, soon to be Mrs. Douglas V. Helle. For
those of you less than familiar with our little branch of the family tree, the
bald headed old fart is Dwight Helle, 8th child of Delbert Helle.
The lovely lady with her arm around him is his bride of 31 years, the
former Joyce A. Helson of Dunedin, New Zealand. She became a naturalized citizen
back when Gerald Ford was hawking WIN buttons. Today she is a supervisor
for a bunch of bean counters for the government.
The pretty girls with the llittle munchkin on her lap is Joyce M. Rizer, oldest daughter of the old fart. She lives in Nashville, TN and makes things happen in the radio and television business, when she isn't creating computer graphics for a bunch of geeks on ice skates called the Nashville Predators.
The Cuddly LIttle Dynamo in the ever so cute eyeglasses (her first day of wearing them, btw) is Delaynie Alexis Rizer, aka THE WORLD'S PRETTIEST GRANDAUGHTER.
Sitting beside these three gracious ladies is a fine figure of a fellow that goes by such names as "Daddy", "Honey" or Gary Rizer. For the last 6 years the old fart alluded to earlier has been privileged to call this fellow his son-in-law. His wife and daughter call him the cutsy names mentioned above.
The white shirt and tie highlight son #2, Christopher Helle. He got his education in criminal law and now is busy building control systems for the sawmill industry, designing webpages for small businesses, polishing his fleet (2) of pickkup trucks, and holding hands with a cutte young nurse named Stacey. (Stay tuned for further developments.)
The blond standing in the middle is not really short, it is just that the boys are really tall. She is engaged to the tallest of this group who stands behind her. Nikki is a nurse at Peoria's Methodist Medical Center. She comes from a small town about 2 hours east of here, where she was (is) the oldest of three children. She lives in a nice little white house about 9 blocks west of The Old Fart Mentioned Above.
Rounding out our little clan is Douglas Vernon Helle. He was named after
his grandfather, D. V. Helle, but nobody really calls a kid Delbert these days.
So his Dad named him after a couple of Navy Buddies who have since disappeared without knowing of their namesake. He got his education in electronics and he now designs and installs the electronics systems that his brother builds. They make a great team and The Old Fart is very proud of them.
