2012 started out as another normal year

MT range west side of New Denver, BC
shot with Nikon camera which has a very good telephoto lens

As I ain't as young as I used to was :-) and the simple fact that wildlife is gradually loosing their fear of man, I've started to carry a firearm while hiking the property

A normal year until June the past months had been cool and our above average snow pack hadn't started to melt, then the rain started over 10 inches of rain in one month most of which came down in less than a week
The lake I'm on is over a 100 miles long, the width is 3/4 mile up to 10 miles
a inch of water is one hellva lot H2O

On the 23rd of June the it started raining again, for 24 hours it poured
I've seen harder rains but never that long of a time.

On 24 June my road access was gone

A week later the lake level was at it's legal limit

244' 9" = 9 inches over treaty
total this year was 246 feet & 5 inches

A few days after the bridge went out these folks stopped to
see if I needed any help, they declined to deliver pizza
